Jilly

LOVE the dress! Great color and nice fit. Keep the dress and burn the bra. :)

daisybones

Aha! Jilly, you may be onto something. Maybe I'll pop into my One Good Bra and re-shoot for comparison:)

Um...well...it's the kind of dress I wear as a transition piece of clothing. You know...out of the shower and blowdrying my hair but not yet into my street clothes kind of thing? Yeah...go with a new bra and then photograph again.

Laura

Girl I think you look adorable and so does you're little one!

I will go with the rest of them and say you should do the different bra thing and then see how it works.

thordora

I'd tap it. :P

Srsly, if it's comfy, that's what matters. Looks cute on you.

And that pepper is bigger than her head!

mamatulip

Comfort trumps EVERYTHING. Keep the dress.

theclevermom

Send it to a new fate! Break out of the old and march forward to the new!

(this from the woman who found an old pair of pants after being lost and too tight for three years and in need of three seam reinforcements and who danced around after putting them on, called her husband at work and sang about how she was wearing her favourite pants and then wore them for four days in a row :) and who talks about herself in the third person)

nonlineargirl

With a different bra I'd keep the dress.

flutter

I think it's fabulous. I am totally on board with giving the bra away, though ;p

Marla

I'll join the chorus of keep the dress, and get a new over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder.
Then revisit the issue - I have a small fear that the shoulders are indeed too large, and that might be contributing to the drooping effect as much as the lack of support. It's also to be considered that a bit of detail, like a bit of black grosgrain ribbon sewn under the bustline would make it clear you're going for an Empire waistline, and not maternity wear.

And does that sign say Red + Yellow Maroon bell peppers? Because it should. I mean, I can't tell what those small letters say, and they're not quite maroon - but they're definitely not yellow.

And, cute kid.

Betsy

The dress is cute, but I never, ever want to see that bra ever again. You are way too pretty to be walking around in that thing.

Sugared Harpy

Terrible bra, lady, ban it! (I possibly have a few too many of my own, whatev.)

But that dress? Adorable. New bra, maybe if you feel saucy wrap a scarf or something around your waist for more definition.

daisybones

OK ladies! My resounding thanks. The bra-burners have it: death to the droopy and all hail the cute dress!

Lotta

It's adorable! If you want, find a tailor to nip it in the waist a bit.

Amanda

Eek, I'd take a page from Oprah and say if it doesn't look fabulous and make you feel incredible, pitch it. I think repurposing is great, but sometimes it isn't worth the effort.

Kris

If the figure in this dress is the same one wearing the Lotus dress below, get rid of this dress!!!

karen

I think a little bit of waist could go a long way with this dress--how about a sewing in a few darts?
