They accepted our bid! We got a new house! I hate exclamation points!
I'm done. You who have shielded thine eyes so as to avoid looking directly at the exclamation points may now bring your ocular bits back to the words on the screen. I'm sorry. I'll try to reign it in henceforth.
By the way, since I really only wrote the last post as a subterfuge for finally introducing my sordid-ish past, in order to get to spill some of the more interesting stories, a kind of sneaky segue, if you will, I'm just wanting to alert those of you who are disturbed by my historical behavior to the future posting of more, um, information about the sordicity.
Disclaimer over.
Guess what! We bought a house today! I'm so excited!
Okay. Seriously. No more exclamation points, ever. That was it. Fin. Basta.
We listed our house last Thursday; we sold it on Friday. We found the new house on Wednesday evening, and our bid was accepted today.
Hi, whirlwind. You're a fascinating creature to be caught in the center of. I'm not necessarily enjoying you any more than I did last night's lightning-and-thunderstorm, though, the one where the electric ribbons streaked in pairs and groupings across the navy sky, where the thunder seemed to break the house, it was so crackly and booming.
I'm tired. Also a fan of understatement, apparently, which is sort of a shock. Not my usual flavor of expostulation. I'm misusing that. But my eyelids refuse to work with me so that I can visit the appropriate website to inform me as to how to properly contextualize the word, which = I gotta go, my peeples.
Bless you crazy kids. I'll see yous guys in Chi-town soon.
And I'll post some snaps of the old house and the new one. Just as soon as my eyelids agree to be my friend again.
Night-night.

Yay!!!!!!!!! Here's a few more exclamation points for ya.
That was FAST. I'm so happy for you guys!! That is a huge accomplishment to sell and buy in such a short amount of time. Especially in this crappy market. You guys are awesome. Can't wait to hear more about the new house!

also. i've been thinking about this, and you may want to rethink your simile. because. really. spaghetti? and oozing? kind of slow and unpleasant. so i'm thinking, maybe you're not excited at all. maybe we were supposed to decode your headline?

Oh my God. That is some west coast salt in my cold, eastern wounds. We found a new house, moved into the new house, and STILL have not sold our old one. Please send some of that good karma my way. And, CONGRATS!
Great post, Deb, but I gotta motor if I wanna be ready for that play date.
